If you’ve ever been to @emmysquaredpizza you’ve probably ordered their square pizza or garlic slice and was in heaven… but have you had that burger!?
If you ask NYC burger connoisseurs @classicruben @ariel_viewss they’ll tell you it rivals most in the city. I’ve recently put it to the test and well, its a pretty damn good burger. They’re secret is in their sauce! Which I have tried to nail down as closely as possible. Keep this recipe handy all summer long on that grill! Boss Sawce
* 1/3 cup of sugar
* 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
* 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
* 4 tbsp unsalted butter
* 1 tbsp minced garlic
* 1 tsp sesame seeds
* 1/2 cup mayo
Toast the garlic and sesame seeds in the butter just until fragrant, do not brown. Allow to cool to room temperature. Meanwhile mix the sugar, vinegar and gochujang. Mix the garlic mix then add the rest. Chill or use immediately!!
As for the burger itself, we’re using grass-fed chuck meat ground into patties. Then piled high with all your favorite pleasures, which looks a little something like this…
